Cali or Bust

My mother and I made the cross-country trip to California. It was a beautiful drive, one worth doing once in your life. Thanks to her, I am settled into my new apartment and I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new roommate.
It's gorgeous weather here, as expected. Usually in the 70s with a salty breeze. It's a bike centered community but the bikes they drive are from the 50s/60s. They have coaster brakes; aka no hand brakes, and make the rider look super cute. I am a Trek girl and I feel very hard core as I pass muscular guys because I have gears and they don't.
This week I start orientation and classes. I am just hoping I don't have to memorize any more numbers. I am not good with numbers, hence being a Theatre and English major in undergrad. Everyone has a PERM number which proves their identity and I am having the darnedst time trying to remember mine, with all the numeric passwords and whatnot. That being said if I gave you a wrong telephone number, it's not a brush off. I just can't keep all these different numbers straight. Unless I keep giving you the wrong number (let's say 5+ times), then please for the love of god, leave me alone.
