Spring Wisconsin Style

Well, I am back in the Midwest. I am still adjusting to the fact that I am now in the same time zone as many of my friends and to the idea that 50 degrees is nice out, but overall it's been a pretty smooth transition. I decided in my little break to tackle some craft projects and baking. I bought materials to make a double sided UW La Crosse fleece blanket for my nephew's high school graduation present and yarn for an afghan which will be done after the scarf and shawl I am working on. Tomorrow I will attempt to make cake balls for my birthday cake. Maybe I will put some pics up next week. I am looking for some good books so if you have any recommendations, let me know.

Fleece blanket? Nice gift idea! :) Also, cake balls? I don't know what they are, but they sound delicious! :)

Yeah this really cool girl gave me a fleece blanket like that and it's my absolute favorite. :)
I may be calling for some advice once I begin.

Cake balls? Is this a Wisconsin thing? Man, throw you back in the water, you start swimming right away...

As far as good books, I really recommend anything written by Jonathan Tropper, esp. "The Book of Joe." I'm especially interested to hear the female perspective on his writing. You know, if it's really phallo-centric and I just don't know it. Which is entirely possible.
