Dream Interpretation

Last week I had a dream that I was home in Port Edwards and somehow two oversized rabbits (the size of an average cat) got into the house and they were tearing apart paper. One was black and one was brown. They were very soft and had two large front teeth. There was rabbit poop and pieces of paper all over the house. I managed to get the two outside and then realized they were getting in through a hole in our back door. I secured our dog, Maggie, in the bathroom next to the back door and then worked on sealing the hole which was difficult because the two rabbits kept trying to get back in. One rabbit got in and for some reason latched onto the waistband of my green cargo pants (which I was wearing) because it seemed like paper, I guess. He had really large teeth and it didn't hurt but he was hanging from my waistband. I tried to ignore him and focus on keeping the other rabbit out by feeding him paper while I also tried to seal the hole.

Last night I had a dream that I need to catch a flight, Flight 630, but I don't know where it was going. It was an airport that I didn't recognize and to get to the gate I had to go up an escalator. I was wearing my khaki skirt (it's knee length and an A-skirt, if that means anything), hiking boots, and a backpack that was really heavy. I was wearing a shirt but I don't know which one. The escalator got steeper and steeper until it turned into a black rubber wall with metal handles set up like a rock climbing wall. In front of me were business people trying to climb the wall with their rollaway suitcase carry ons. I was having trouble progressing up the wall. It was incredibly high up, I couldn't even see the floor anymore. I was almost to the top and I just couldn't get any higher. My arms and legs were aching and there was a long line of business people behind me. All in suits with their suitcases waving as they progressed up the wall. A man behind me, slightly balding, roundish, and in his 40s, was trying to give me a pep talk. He gave me a little push up and then I was able to make it. I finally reached the top and then couldn't find the sign for the gate. Was I at the right gate?

I can't wait for summer.

Badger Girl is moving to Santa Barbara.

I felt that I should post the final decision. Once I have pictures I will include them as well.

I am entering the final stage of my MA at OSU. I feel that I should warn those not at OSU about this period. This is officially the oh-shit-I-actually-have-to-finish-my-thesis period. I have roughly two weeks to finish a hundred page document that is seriously kicking my butt. Here are all the questions that will send my mind spinning, so please don't ask:

How is the thesis going?
When are you moving?
Where are you living in Santa Barbara?
When does your thesis have to be done?
You've been working on it all year, how much work can you have left?

The best comfort you can provide me (or any graduate student with a similar project) is to let us bring it up and to validate our concerns. 'Yes, it is a lot of work.' 'Yes, it is going to be tough.' Etc.

My other news and thesis time distractor has been the recent purchase of an i-pod nano. I finally gave in to technology and it's awesome. I guess my next step would be purchasing a digital camera, but I have problems with that. If I get a digital camera, there will be no photo albums. Yes, I know you can print pictures from digital cameras, but who actually prints them on a regular basis? I feel the need to document my life in my twenties with a recording device that produces a tangible end product.
After weeks with the nano, we'll see how far it converts me into the dark side...
